Ep 003 // The Intro
If I'm making a series about starting over, I should probably begin at the start, right?
When I first imagined this series, I pictured it like a reality show—documenting everything, getting vulnerable about the ups and downs of resetting my entire life.
So I did a little research and realized every reality show starts the same way: with an introduction.
Hi. I'm Deniz, 35, an art director. Born in Turkey, recently left LA and moved to Belgium—where I now live with my boyfriend Kailan (aka London boy) and my dog Kushman.
And while there's still so much to figure out—from getting a visa to finding a place we can call home—I wanted to share this experience with you. Why? Maybe my reset could inspire you—to take a leap of your own. Or maybe you're going through something similar and just need to know you're not alone.
Here's what I've realized: Starting over doesn't have to be a major life event. It's something we do constantly—every week, every morning, every time we lose a game and try again. When we reset our careers or find ourselves single again—unsure how to start dating—we're starting over.
So if you're at a 'stop' right now, here's what I want to leave you with: Starting over doesn’t have to be drastic. Every day is a new episode of your story—just pick up where you left off.
