I learned

I love learning new words by not simply reading their definition, but by living it.

I learned the true meaning of hello, when it turned into “I haven’t seen you in a while’ — I discovered home stands for a feeling rather than a destination. I learned the definition of success, when I failed a thousand times.

I learned the feeling of being free when I felt most caged in. I learned how to drive when I found the people to ride with; the ones who believe life is a grand adventure.

I learned you can be the richest person in the world with empty pockets or you can be poor as a person with a six figure income.

I discovered we really do get better with age & that you’re not going to be everyone’s glass of wine. I realize now we can outgrow friends like we outgrow our clothes.

Sometimes the wrong kind of love gets to you before the right one. I learned not everyone is willing to go where they will grow. I learned belief when I became obsessed with believing in others.

I learned we can’t let new things come into our lives without feeling scared. I learned the key to everything is having an open mind. You can unlock it all with faith.

I learned to believe in the greater good, God (whatever that means for you) & most importantly I learned to believe in myself & who I’m becoming. To listen closely when there is silence & turn up the volume when I want to be heard.

We have to become obsessed with being alive. Our people, our goals...so obsessed that your ambition is your alarm clock, getting you out of bed everyday to simply, live & learn.
