are we there yet?

Are we there yet? The question we ask as kids because we’re more curious about where we’re going & who we’re going with, rather than where we currently are. It’s the expression of not being present. It’s the feeling of impatience. It’s the ‘not being here’ — so you live, then learn...how to enjoy the ride with your mom before she drops you off at a sleepover because before you know it, 30 something years fly by, no curfew or weekly allowance & all you care about is to be kind with your time...It’s why we should be working hard, so we can spend money to buy more time & have more life. Do what you love. No better present than being present.
